This is one of my first speaking events in Feb 2008 in Stellenbosch, South Africa. I was shocked to see 700 people show up on a Wednesday night for my message on relationships

This was the audience when I spoke from the pulpit on Sunday morning and I shared my message “The Love We Long For” Several young women came forward to accept Christ.

I was in awe to find out that I was asked to speak at a church in Cape town that was the very first church for allowed slaves in the 1600’s. The building was amazing. |
This is a Baptist church near Cape town. They have a wonderful outreach to people with HIV/AIDS and they train leaders on how to start support groups |
We had the privilege of taking a safari while in South Africa. This photo was at daybreak and the peace and quiet of the moment was as close to heaven as I’ve ever been. This baby hippo is one month old. Precious.

I got to pet a cheetah!! He was 9 months old and on his way to a zoo in Vancouver, BC. A veterinarian offered me the opportunity and although I was afraid I couldn’t resist. |
My husband Steve and I spent the last day at Cape of Good Hope in the southernmost tip of South Africa. It was gorgeous. |
I led a divorce recovery leadership training in Stellenbosch (we believe it’s the first ever in South Africa) and over 60 people from a variety of churches attended. Many were starting the ministry for the first time. |
