A Seminar with Experts
During the first 30–40 minutes of the meeting, each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts, and those who have experienced divorce. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video.
A Support Group with Focus
After viewing the video, DivorceCare group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members.

- What’s Happening to Me? — Session 1
This introductory seminar helps answer the question, “Why do I feel the way I do?”
- The Road to Healing/Finding Help — Session 2
This video segment helps identify the many losses that occurred as the result of divorce.
- Facing My Anger — Session 3
This segment deals with the subject of anger, a nearly universal response to the pain and stress of divorce.
- Facing My Depression — Session 4
Depression can be a paralyzing and also a “healing emotion,” during divorce.
- Facing My Loneliness — Session 5
This segment explores healthy ways to overcome the loneliness that will inevitably arise during separation or divorce.
- What Does the Owner’s Manual Say? — Session 6
This video seminar explores real-world answers from the Bible on issues related to separation, divorce and remarriage, presented in an easily understandable format.
- New Relationships — Session 7
This session explains whether a person is ready for a new relationship.
- Financial Survival — Session 8
Offering practical help, this video shares how to deal with the many money issues that arise during and after divorce.
- KidCare — Session 9
This segment explores the effects of divorce on your children and offers practical suggestions for being an effective single parent.
- Single Sexuality — Session 10
This important session helps to understand sexuality from God’s perspective and see that it is possible to be single again and satisfied.
- Forgiveness — Session 11
This shows why forgiveness is important and how to begin the process of forgiving.
- Reconciliation — Session 12
Reconciliation is one of the most misunderstood aspects of the divorce healing process. This session explains how reconciliation can happen even if the marriage is not restored.
- Moving On, Growing Closer to God — Session 13
God can produce something good out of something as bad as divorce.
